About Us

Walking In Authority Teen Council empowers teens (13-19) and their parents in Metro Atlanta to advocate for themselves, gain exposure to civic duty, and develop leadership skills in preparation to address community issues and to become agents of change.
To create a visible international network of future leaders united to become change agents in response to critical issues.
To empower youth leaders by catalyzing them to become community assets and lead the charge to address most pressing health and social issues impacting their peers and find valuable resources for crafting successful solutions to community problems.
Posse Nominator:
In addition to granting scholarships to deserving teens, the Director of Walking In Authority Teen Council, Mrs. Sparkle Adams, is a Posse Nominator through The Posse Foundation.   The Posse Foundation identifies, recruits and trains individuals with extraordinary leadership potential.  Posse Scholars receive four-year, full-tuition leadership scholarships from Posse’s partner colleges and universities.
GuideStar Platinum Status:
We have attained Platinum status with GuideStar.  GuideStar is a website that houses self reported information to show transparency with various organizations.  They get their basic information from the IRS.
