WIATC's 4th Annual Awards Banquet
May 12th, WIATC celebrated the closing of its 2025-2026 fiscal year by awarding its teens. To commemorate our 14 graduating teens, each received a cord, a WIATC-symbolized stole, and a personalized scholarship. We are proud of our 2026 scholars!
In honor of our 2026 fiscal year chairs, each received an award for demonstrating our mission: Leadership, Empowerment, Accountability, Responsibility, and Networking.
Finally, we welcomed the 2027 fiscal year chairs and leadership with the passing of the baton. Our 2026 president, Michayla Stephens, passed the baton to Anthony Rivera, who will be serving as the 2027 fiscal year president!
WIATC U-Hual Clean-up
To alleviate any stress within the upcoming fiscal year, a few of our WIATC members helped Dr. Adams and her caretaker organize her storage facility. Five teens moved, sorted, and trashed junk to make the space more walkable and accessible.
This event led to many of our teens uncovering the history of WIATC and our founder/director, Dr. Adams. A notable artifact that stood out to most was these WIATC-embellished coins that signified our ability to L.E.A.R.N. Each teen got to take these home, among other artifacts and materials.
